I've been a journalist since 2014. Most recently I was senior news editor at Them. Before that I was features director at SELF and a writer and editor at BuzzFeed Health (rip). And before that, I did community organizing and policy advocacy around trans rights and reproductive justice. I have a Masters of Social Work in Community Organizing from the University of Connecticut School of Social Work. I’m also the editorial director of Cloud Curio, a collective that creates and publishes games, adventures, and resources for tabletop roleplaying games.
